Planning the Best Vacation at Bali Family Resorts

We all know that Bali family resorts is the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing vacation with kids. Everything kids need to have fun is there: the mandatory kids pool, the mouthwatering kids menu, engaging kids activities, to the kids room where these little curious travelers can play for hours! It’s also the ideal beach resort for grown up to just relax and enjoy the sun. But family vacation is different from adult getaway. Here’s how to plan a smooth and worry-free family vacation in Bali’s beach resort.

Choose the best time to visit the Bali family resorts

Timing is everything when you are planning for a family vacation. For most families, vacation usually hinges around school calendars. That means you want to match your day off with the kids’ school holiday. Luckily, school vacation usually fall in summer, which is the best season to travel to tropical countries. To spend some sunny days in Bali, make sure you plan the visit around April to October, when the island is on dry season. You don’t want to come there only to get locked up in the room for days because it’s raining, do you?

Book all rooms together and at the same time

If your family consist of teenagers or children who’re big enough to sleep alone, you’ll need more than one room. So whether you’re bringing big kids or grandparents with you, make sure to book all the rooms together and at the same time. This way, the family resort will know that all these rooms belong to your group. This will also make it easier for them to take important notes and responding requests such as getting the all the rooms in the same row.

It’s kinda troublesome to travel with toddlers when it comes to sleep time. Back in the house, they can sleep alone in their room but things can get a bit difficult when you stay in a new and unfamiliar surrounding like a hotel. Taking the connecting room is always recommended when you are on family vacation. However, some Bali family resorts like the Holiday Inn Benoa have special family rooms built with kids’ own bedroom and bathroom inside the family suite. That means everyone can get good night sleep in their own bed while still staying together. It’s

Choose Bali family resorts with multiple child discounts

You will be shocked with how many places offering child discount when you are on a family vacation. The same Holiday Inn Benoa, for example, allow kids to eat for free from the special kids menu as long as they are accompanied by a paying adult. This means you are paying for your own meal and not a single penny for the kids’ meal! Many places also have different pricing for kids based on their age. Simply ask for the availability of kids’ discount or special promotion when you are on public transportation, tours, attraction entrance, or restaurants.

Spare plenty of time in the day of departure

One thing to remember when you are planning a family vacation: take it slow. Back when you are alone, you can walk very fast in the airport and get everything done just in minutes. But with child, everything would just get slower and a bit more complicated. Even little things like getting through the security could get exhausting. So make sure you spare plenty of time during the preparation and departure to allow things taking its time or get wrong.

Pack just the essentials for kids

The trap of moms travelling with kids: thinking the kids will need everything they use at home and end up overpacking! The pack light rule still applies even when you’re going with kids. Remember that you will carry at least 1 kid with your hand, so you don’t want to carry tons of luggage in the other hand, too. Make a list of the true essentials. Pack only things your kids cannot live without and will be difficult to find in Bali. Most of other daily essentials like diapers, baby toiletries, and even essential oils can be find in the nearest store from the Bali family resort. Don’t worry too much and remember, the lighter you pack the more souvenirs you can bring back home!
